Sixth sense

There are bacteria that can sense magnetic fields and sharks can sense electric fields.  These are real sixth and seventh senses.  But humans don't have them.

  1. I have read discussion through the years of evidence of human magnetic field detection; see for an example abstract.

Humans (some?) can also detect polarization, which I would consider a separate sense from plain vision (see Haidinger's Brush).
